Gospel reflection - 25 th Sunday of ordinary week, cycle -C

 First reading-Is 55:6-9 2nd  reading-phil 1:20c-24,27 Gospel : Mt: 20:1-16 We are all familiar with the story of labourers in the vineyard. Today's gospel begins with landowner searching for  labourers to  work in his vineyard. He calls labourers in different timings and some of them he calls at the last hour also. At the end of the Gospel, we see that landowner gives equal wages to the all labourers. It seems strange for us but we learn a great lesson from this gospel passage. Here the Lord is the landowner and we are labourers of his vineyard. He calls us to work in His vineyard to bring forth hundred fold fruits. We all are labourers of God and work for God to bring everyone to close to God. God calls us in different timings. He may call us at any stage of our life. We must understand that it is not how much we have worked but how qualitatively we worked. We are not here  to compare ourselves with others. We must be satisfied with our work and results.
